A teenager has been arrested after a 16-year-old boy was left in a critical condition following a shooting in Birmingham.
Police were called to Bowyer Road shortly before 5.30pm on Wednesday where they found the boy, who was taken to hospital with gunshot wounds.
A 17-year-old boy was late on Wednesday arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.
Police have been carrying out forensic and CCTV enquiries, and speaking to people in the area.
Detective Inspector Francis Nock, from West Midlands Police's Major Crime Team, said: "Our investigation is continuing and I would urge anyone who might have seen something or has dashcam or doorbell footage to get in touch.
"Officers will be in the area today to offer reassurance to the local community."

The incident happened near a mosque, but police said at this stage they do not believe the shooting to be connected to the place of worship.
West Midlands Police said in a statement: "We understand this is extremely worrying for people in the area, and local officers will be remaining there to speak to anyone with concerns."
Officers are appealing for anyone who saw what happened or has footage from the area to contact them.
They can also speak to Crimestoppers anonymously.
