A woman has died in hospital after she was hit by a car in East Ayrshire.
Pedestrian Jaqueline Young, 66, was struck by a white Range Rover Evoque on the A70 Muirkirk Road near Cumnock at about 8.05am on Friday.
Police Scotland said Ms Young, who was from the town, died in hospital.
Sergeant Brian Simpson said: "Our thoughts are with Jaqueline's family and friends at this tragic time.
"We are carrying out extensive enquiries to establish the full circumstances and we continue to appeal to anyone who witnessed the crash, or has dashcam footage from the area, to please come forward."

Sergeant Simpson said motorists drove through the scene immediately after the collision.
He added: "We are particularly keen to speak with the drivers of a dark-coloured saloon vehicle and a teal-coloured pick-up truck with a cab on the back.
"These drivers may have information which could assist with our investigation."
