Youth Games volunteer committee put out final appeal for helpers

The games still need roughly 200 helpers

The volunteer committee for the Commonwealth Youth Games are urging potential volunteers to get their applications in over the next week so allocation of roles can begin.

Over 600 applications have been received but there are still 200 places left to fill.

Applicants of a wide range of abilities are welcomed, the only pre requisite is that you can be flexible regarding the role you are given and the number of shifts you can do.

Currently they’re particularly keen to fill the roles of marshals and stewards, also qualified mini bus drivers or anyone wanting to take on the role of mascot Tosha.

We spoke to Victoria Karran of the volunteer committee, she is keen to stress that the staging of the games would not be possible without the involvement of helpers.
