With just under a week to go until the HSBC Manx Youth Games a leading fitness expert has stressed the importance of children pursuing healthy lifestyles.
Paul Bridson is the sports development officer for Manx Sport and Recreation and say there are more imperatives behind the youth games than just a fun day out.
Now in its 12th year the event sees over 1200 young competitors from around the Island take part, and has already spawned sports stars competing at an international standard.
Paul says they’re striving to get as many young people as possible involved in sport:
