Road Improvement Scheme to Take 11 Weeks
Another road improvement scheme will get underway next Monday.
The works will widen the southeast corner of the junction of Douglas Road and Balthane Road.
It’s anticipated that it will take 11 weeks in total, and will require the road to be excavated. Once resurfaced it should improve the safety of the junction for road users.
To assist with the works, traffic lights will be in operation between 8.30AM to 4.30PM from Monday to Friday, to help ease congestion.
Traffic congestion is a likelyhood so people are asked to find an alternative route where possible.
