Work is officially underway to repair damage caused by Storm Barra at Marine Gardens in Douglas.
In December last year the storm battered the Island with winds of up to 80mph - which actually closed the Gardens for a number of months.
Now, Douglas Borough Council says 'work has commenced to remove the remains of the playground in the Marine Gardens that was damaged beyond repair by Storm Barra.'
The Council says the area will be tidied up as a short term measure to allow the garden to reopen to the public before an exciting new playground is installed next year.
