Firefighters had to cut the roof and side panels off a car last night in order to free a woman who was injured in a crash.
Emergency services were called out to the two-vehicle smash on the Switchback Road just after 10.20pm.
The woman was stuck in her car due to back pain and because of the damage caused to her vehicle – fire crews also had to cut down part of a tree that had come to rest against it.
The other driver suffered minor cuts and abrasions – both women were taken to Noble’s Hospital.
Police kept the road closed for around two hours whilst the debris was cleared.
