A woman’s appeared in court over allegations of benefit fraud, deception and alleged breaches of charity laws.
Wendy Elizabeth Megson of no fixed address appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 51 year old, who represented herself in court and insisted she be referred to as “the living woman Wendy Megson”, hasn’t yet entered pleas to nine counts of making false representations to obtain benefits, two of deception and two under the Charities Acts of 1989 and 2019.
There was no bail application and she was remanded in custody until her next appearance on August 23.
