 
                            A woman facing benefits fraud charges spanning more than three years has been remanded in custody.
Homeless Wendy Elizabeth Megson appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 51 year old is charged with nine counts of making false representations to obtain benefits, two of deception and two offences under the 1989 and 2019 Charities Acts but hasn’t yet entered any pleas.
Megson, who represented herself, was remanded in custody to appear again on August 16.
