A woman’s been awarded her legal costs after prosecutors dropped charges against her.
Shondelle Rhoden of Larivane Meadows in Andreas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
She’d been charged with driving without due care and attention after a crash on November 5 last year.
However, prosecutor Chrissie Hunt withdrew the charge after the court heard the 40 year old had told police there’d been a mechanical fault with her car.
The hearing was told the car wasn’t seized by police at the time and had since been disposed of, meaning vital evidence couldn’t be recovered.
Magistrates marked the allegation as dismissed.
