A court’s heard an 18 year old girl went on a day-long crime spree that saw her steal two cars, a bag of potatoes and a bottle of wine.
Melissa Brew of Cronk Elfin in Ramsey admitted two counts of taking cars without their owners consent, two of theft, and one each of assault, resisting police and assaulting an officer when she appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
On September 26 she and another man stole a blue MG from St Paul’s Square and drove it to a farm shop in Sulby where she stole potatoes and cash – the couple then dumped the vehicle in Bride when it ran out of petrol.
They then stole a Land Rover and drove it to Peel, stopping at a filling station in Kirk Michael where Brew took the wine.
She posted a video to social media site Snapchat which showed the duo inside the stolen vehicles.
Magistrates bailed Brew, and asked for reports to be prepared before she appears again for sentencing on December 5.
