Wildlife trust struggle to locate missing fin tag

The Manx Wildlife Trust are currently carefully monitoring the progress of an electronic tag that had been attached to a basking shark.

The tag detached prematurely and is now floating in the sea off the coast of South West Wales.

The tag transmits its position two times a day, however this will cease in approximately a weeks time.

It's anticipated the tag will wash up in Wales, in this case people in the surrounding area will be notified , with the offer a £200 reward.

The trust are keen to retrieve the £3,500 tag as it will provide them with precise data, and will also be able to be re-used.
