A yellow weather warning for coastal overtopping has been put in place for this afternoon.
Ronaldsway Met Office has issued it from 2.15pm until 6.15pm, Thursday, December 11.
Forecasters say it's most likely to affect areas like Shore Road in Rushen and Castletown, Laxey and Ramsey promenades.
They add the northern parts of Douglas prom may also be hit.
