Coastal overtopping is bringing disruption to Douglas this lunchtime.
The Department of Infrastructure says Loch Promenade has had to close between the Sea Terminal and the Church Road roundel.
It says the closure will be lifted once the tide recedes - Laxey Promenade is shut as well as Mooragh Promenade and Queens Promenade in Ramsey.
Police also say the Victoria Pier Side of the Sea Terminal Car Park has had to be shut after glass blew out of barriers there.
