A chapel in the south of the Island says a fundraiser to repair water damage has been called off because Manx Utilities is repairing damaged water mains.
Ballakilpheric Methodist Chapel on Ballakilpheric Road was to host an open day tomorrow to raise cash towards making the historic building watertight and repairing damage from incoming water.
However, Manx Uitility work to replace water mains has reached the entrance to the chapel’s school room, making access difficult.
The open day will now take place on April 20.
