A local bird charity is asking the public to watch out for gulls learning to fly.
The Manx Wild Bird Aid says it's normal for youngsters to leave their nests and spend some time on the ground before they can fly properly, yet they don't know the dangers of cars.
Motorists are asked to be patient and stop for them, getting out of the car to 'shoo them' out of the road if necessary.
The charity also asks to avoid calling them if you've seen a young gull on the ground as it's a normal part of their development.
