Drug users are being warned that there's no way of knowing what they’re taking, and the consequences of this can be deadly.
There have been a high number of deaths and injuries around North Wales and the North West of England linked to party goers taking substances mixed with other chemicals.Shelly Stanley of the Drugs Advice Service and Helpline, DASH, says the perception of taking ‘recreational’ drugs needs to change.
She told us the major concern is that an individual isn’t aware of the dangers involved:
