The Department of Infrastructure says it's put up signs to remind people to behave responsibly on the Island's uplands.
On Facebook, the department says it's put up signs at Slieau Whallian above St Johns.
Pedestrians and motorcyclists have been cutting across private land and causing damage to uplands there.
The DOI says motorcyclists and other users can use green lanes, and should always be considerate.
