Manx police have issued a warning about scammers pretending to be from the Office of Cyber Security and Information Assurance.
A fake email has been sent to residents asking for personal details and money, claiming to be from the police.
The email says an officer named Sam Gibson will deal with your case, however they do not have anyone of that name in their office.
The department says they will only communicate with you if you have raised an issue with them, and will always use a gov.im email address.
