The Island's Fire and Rescue Service was called out after a horse collapsed yesterday.
On Sunday morning, the specialist Animal Rescue Team went to the Home of Rest for Old Horses on Richmond hill in Douglas.
They found Valiant unable to get himself back up on all fours and worked with a vet to help him to his feet.
Valiant was none the worse for wear after the incident.
