The rollout of the Covid-19 vaccine is still expected to go ahead as planned in the New Year.
Health and Social Care Minister, David Ashford MHK, has stated the programme is still expected to start on January 4, 2021 following the announcement of new travel restrictions this afternoon.
The minister says the DHSC has the staff in place to manage running health services, do Covid-19 testing and deliver the vaccine at the same time.
Currently, health and social care staff will be the first to get the jab, followed by nursing home residents and the over-80s.
