An American lawyer representing a Playboy model asked to be made ambassador to the Isle of Man as payment for controlling a story about her alleged affair with Donald Trump.
A court in New York heard the claims yesterday during the former US president's trial on allegations he falsified business records - which he denies.
Karen McDougal's lawyer Keith Davidson is said to have asked the editor of the National Enquirer for $1 million to cover up her alleged affair with Mr Trump in 2006.
Mr Davidson is alleged to have said: "Throw in an ambassadorship for me. I'm thinking Isle of Man."
The trial continues.
