As many as 15 jobs look set to be axed at the Meat Plant as a major company shake up takes place.
As many as 15 jobs look set to be axed at the Meat Plant as a result of a major company shake up.
The management are appealing to any workers who want to opt for voluntary redundancy as they attempt to reduce cases of having to enforce it.
The plant has undergone a tough period since the removal of the meat derogation last year, which meant cheaper meat can now be imported.
As a knock on it was deemed that the company desperately needed to restructure and turn around their fortunes, a turn around team has been appointed to help with this transition.
As it stands the plant currently employ more than 60 people.
Turn around Director Scott Baker has said so far the workers have responded well to the ongoing developments and feels that ultimately there is a bright future for the plant.
