Strong winds expected later have sparked an updated weather warning from the Met Office.
Meteorologists at Ronaldsway say the yellow warning for coastal overtopping runs from 8pm this evening to 1am on Friday.
Areas most at risk are Douglas, Laxey and Ramsey Promenades.
Forecasters say waves and debris could wash onto exposed roads for a couple of hours either side of high tide at 10.40pm.
