 
                            Both the Prospect and Unite unions are calling on the Public Services Commission to commence negotiations to ensure agreements are reached with regards improvements to pay, terms and conditions ahead of April 2024.
It was announced recently that a settlement had been reached between the Health Service Unions and Manx Care following a protracted dispute, the unions are keen for this time frame not to be repeated.
Prospect's Negotiations Officer Mick Hewer says anything less than an above inflation pay award would effectively result in a pay cut for his members.
He says time is of the essence as Treasury will need to factor the increases into their February budget:
