The Communication Workers Union responds to the Isle of Man Post Office’s claims that they had no knowledge of the 2009 pay agreement.
The Communication Workers Union has responded to the Isle of Man Post Office’s claims that they had no knowledge of the 2009 pay agreement.
The Post Office Chief Executive Mike Kelly has said he has no knowledge of such an agreement and has asked the union to present a signed copy, but says so far they have been unable to do so.
Union officer Terry Pullinger has said he is astonished that the company are trying to deny the existence of the agreement.
He said it raises a very serious question of integrity, honour and credibility.
A large percentage of post office workers are currently being balloted on whether or not to resort to strike action over the pay dispute.
The agreement is available to view on the Communication Worker’s Union website.
