A UK woman drove while three times over the drink drive limit and then tried to lie to police officers.
Lisa Wright, of Lancaster Street in Higham Ferrers in Bedfordshire, appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood.
The 55-year-old admitted drink driving on September 11 last year while she was living on the Island.
A motorist called police after spotting her driving erratically from Union Mills to Greeba - officers found her at home but she claimed she'd drunk half a bottle of wine after getting back.
She was more than three times over the limit, and an expert told the court her story didn't add up.
The case was adjourned until May 21 for a social enquiry report and Wright was bailed in the sum of £500.
