A strong supporter and friend to the Isle of Man within Westminster, Lord McNally, is stepping down his from position as Minister of State for Justice.
The role carried the responsibility for the crown dependencies.
Throughout his three years in the role relations between the two governments have strengthened greatly.
Conservative peer Lord Faulks QC will step into the position following a mini reshuffle.
