The couple at the centre of a gay rights storm say they are humbled by the public’s support.
Laura Cull and Kira Izzard were turned down for a rental property in Ramsey by the landlord – a pastor at the Independent Methodist Church – because of his religious beliefs.
The story has now attracted coverage in the UK with The Independent newspaper, Daily Mail and Channel 5’s The Wright Stuff among the media to feature it.
Chief Minister Allan Bell has slammed the decision and promised to progress an equality act as soon as possible.
