A man from the UK has admitted trying to smuggle £100,000 worth of drugs to the Island in a suitcase at Ronaldsway Airport.
Richard Cain, whose address was given as the Isle of Man Prison, appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood at Douglas Courthouse.
The 35 year old pleaded guilty to producing cannabis and possessing it with intent to supply it on January 8.
The court heard he was stopped as he got off a flight and police discovered five kilos of cannabis in his luggage.
Mrs Braidwood said the case was so serious it would have to be heard in the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
She committed him to the higher court for sentencing and he'll appear there on February 2.
