The UK government says it'll consult the Isle of Man as it develops the sea around Manx waters.
The Marine Management Organisation and Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs has published the North west Marine Plan for England.
In it, Westminster sets out what it wants to achieve in the offshore area just beyond the Island's 12-mile limit.
The document says any proposals which could affect the Island would be discussed with the Manx government, and its views would be considered.
