Douglas Post Office is staying put after a temporary U-turn over plans to relocate it into the nearby SPAR store.
It's been confirmed that the postal operation will continue to run out of its Regent Street home.
Mannin Retail will take over the running of the premises in September offering all postal services.
The Isle of Man Post Office says it's currently looking at plans to re-develop the building.
