New rules allowing alleged lawbreakers to wear electronic tags on bail will be discussed by politicians this week.
Tynwald will be asked to approve a new order which would extend the use of electronic tagging - currently, only prisoners released from jail on licence are allowed to wear them.
The new rules would mean prison spaces aren't taken up by people who could be bailed under close supervision.
Tynwald is due to sit on Tuesday from 10am in Legislative Buildings in Douglas.
