Tributes have been paid to longstanding MHK Brenda Cannell who resigned earlier this month.
She stepped down as the East Douglas representative following the death of her husband.
A by-election will take place on November 12th – yesterday it was confirmed seven people are contesting the seat.
These include Kurt Buchholz, Cat Turner, Richard Falk, John McBride, Geraldine O’Neill, Jon Joughin and Clare Bettison.
