A Tynwald committee says it won't censor any of its evidence - after being asked to do so by the BBC.
A report about last year's election has been laid before the court, including a claim from Douglas East MHK Clare Bettison the UK news outlet published a result before it was officially announced.
In an email, the BBC asked the committee to remove the claim.
However, chairman David Cretney MLC said he wasn't prepared to redact evidence, adding such censorship would be entirely inappropriate.
He pointed out there was no criticism of the BBC in the report.
