Two new councillors in Douglas

Wednesday, 19 August 2015 00:00

Two women from Douglas have been elected to serve as councillors in the Island's capital.

The uncontested elections yesterday saw Catherine Turner appointed in Victoria Ward and Claire Wells appointed in Murrays Ward.

They will serve until April 30th next year.

The vacancies had been sparked by the discovery that previous councillors weren't on the electoral register.
