Bruce Anstey gets quickest laptime of the week
So today is the first day of the 2011 Isle of Man TT, with perfect conditions for the first two events.
It will be kicking off at 12 o clock with the Superbike event, following up with the Sidecar race at 3 o clock.
In last nights final qualifying sessions there were 130 mph laps for John McGuinness, Guy Martin and Michael Dunlop.
The best lap of the week however was saved right until the final moments of the final practice session when Bruce Anstey recorded an average speed of 131.431mph, just shy of the outright lap record, it meant he went away with the Graham London Limited edition TT Watch awarded to the fastest solo qualifier.
After a week of very strong displays Klaus Klaffenbock and Dan Sayle go into todays sidecar race hot favourites, building on a very strong TT 2010.
Away from the bikes tonight will see TT Mayhem kicking off on the promenade at 7pm, with live music from Grambo and Buncha Skankers at the bushys beer tent from 7pm.
