TT 2011 drawing to a close

Perfect conditions for gruelling 6 lap Senior Race

Today marks the end of TT2011 with a perfect day for the gruelling six lap Senior Race Day event.

Last year saw Ian Hutchinson dominate the proceedings claiming all 5 race wins.

It hasn’t been so clear cut this year however with a variety of winners, Gary Johnson took his first win yesterday with a very strong performance.

He along with Bruce Anstey, John McGuinness and Michael Dunlop will be hot favourites going into todays race, with outsiders Guy Martin, Keith Amor, Conor Cummins and William Dunlop all out to prove themselves on the last day.

Aswell as the big race there will also be a Yamaha 50th anniversary parade lap, the Milestones of the Mountain Course parade lap will also take place, celebrating 100 years of the iconic course. 18 legends of the course will be setting off on the lap, among them Mike Hailwood's son David Hailwood, and 10 times TT winner Giacomo Agostini

Away from the races and it’s the last day of TT Mayhem with Shades of Purple and Fireball on at the Beer Tent, there will be the Vulcan air display over Douglas Bay at 7.30pm, with the fireworks capping off another TT at 11.30.
