Concerns over how much school time is missed by children have led to Tynwald questions for written answer this month.
Member for Douglas North David Ashford will ask the Education and Children Minister Graham Cregeen how many children are regularly missing lessons.
Mr Ashford also wants to know how many children were off more than 30 days last year, and will ask Attorney General John Quinn who is legally responsible to make sure a child attends school.
His queries are part of a special September question paper.
