Tributes are being paid to local businessman Trevor Hemmings who has passed away at the age of 86.
Preston North End Football club confirmed his death in a statement last night.
The club has described his death as 'devastating', adding more information would be given in the coming days.
In the meantime his family has asked their privacy be respected at this difficult time.
The three time grand national winner was a keen supporter of local charities - most recently making a significant donation to Rebecca House at IOM Hospice, opening 'Dylan’s Playground' only a few weeks ago.
