Tributes paid to 'immense' Island film advisor

Steve Christian

Tributes are being paid to government’s former film advisor who died at the weekend.

It’s believed Steve Christian, who was in his early 50’s, suffered a heart attack.

The CinemaNX founder, and former director of Pinewood Pictures, was responsible for overseeing the development of the Isle of Man’s film investment programme.

He stepped down from the role in 2015.

Former Treasury Minister Eddie Teare worked closely with him:

Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly has also paid tribute saying he was ‘instrumental’ in initiating the industry in 1995 and describing his contribution as “immense”.
