Trevor Baines Gets 6 Year Sentence, Wife Walks Free
Trevor Baines has been sentenced for 6 years for money laundering, with a 12 month sentence for false accounting to run concurrently.
His wife Wendy was given a 9 month sentence for her part in the false
accounting which has been suspended for 2 years, she walked free from the
courts.
The judge said that Mr Baines must have known that the $175 million he laundered was obtained by criminal means.
69 year old Mr Baines faced a potential sentence of 14 years.
