Isle of Man Transport says a road closure in Douglas for tree felling means buses are suffering delays.
Traffic is almost at gridlock around Bridge Road and the Old Castletown Road in Douglas this lunchtime - with motorists reporting seeing heavy traffic past Lake Road up to circular Road.
Part of the Old Castletown Road is shut as workers remove dead ash trees.
The work is due to be finished and the road reopened by 3.30pm.
