Tynwald Members will be asked to make an extra £10m available for the building of the new Ferry Terminal in Liverpool at next week's sitting.
If approved, the money will be moved from the general reserve to top up the capital contingency budget, and will enable to project to 'progress to completion.'
Treasury Minister Dr Alex Allinson says the final out-turn cost will not be known for some time, and 'topping up the capital contingency fund is designed to provide the Strategic Board with the financial support necessary to see it to completion.'
Infrastructure Minister Chris Thomas will give an update on the Ferry Terminal project when members sit on Tuesday morning.
