Treasury Minister Anne Craine will today unveil the all-important budget for the coming year.
It could have some very significant implications for the Island as the Government moves into the second year of the 5 year recovery plan, brought about by the VAT sharing agreement being revised.
No details have yet been published, but things like tax, department budgets and job cut backs will all have come under intense scrutiny.
Minister Craine and her team have had to formulate this budget with a factored in shortfall of £142 million.
She says the biggest challenge has been putting together a budget that will both please the public, and benefit businesses and the economy on the Island.
She has said she is pleased with the end result and optimistic that they’ve found a positive way forward.
