The Treasury have apologised following a mix up concerning rate demands sent to charities on the Island.
The issue centred on the fact that the usual reductions given their charitable status hadn’t been factored into the bill.
The Treasury have now vowed to contact all charities affected directly.
Any erroneous demands will be cancelled and reissued, with any overpayments to be refunded to the charities.
