A local vet is warning dog owners to keep an eye out for toxic substances washing up on the beaches.
There are reports that Palm Oil has washed up in Port Erin - the substance smells faintly of diesel and is extremely dangerous to dogs if they eat or lick it.
If you suspect you have seen some, or your dog has been in contact with the oil, you should contact your vet immediately.
