A barn next door to a pub in the south of the Island could be converted into accommodation for tourists.
The Shore Hotel on shore Road in Bay ny Carrickey has applied to transform the building, which is currently disused.
Wentworth Enterprises, which owns the site, says it wants to create a three-bedroomed holiday cottage.
A survey of the building found it would need significant work before it could be brought back into use.
