Number of fatal accidents signiciantly higher than 2010
The police have released the incident figures for this years TT revealing a significant increase in road traffic collisions on the previous year.
2011 saw four fatalities on the open road whereas last year there was just one, all incidents involved motorcycles.
There was an increase of 10 on the amount of serious incidents.
Inspector Mark Britton described it as a very busy year for the Roads Policing Unit, saying some crash scenes resembled a war zone.
He went onto say they will now review all the incidents from this year and see whether there are any improvements that can be made for a safer TT 2012.
