Infrastructure Minister David Cretney has outlined the magnitude of the current state of the Island’s roads.
MHK Bill Henderson asked for a definitive update on the state of the Island’s highways in Tuesday’s sitting of the House of Keys.
Minister Cretney has said due to the economic situation they can only allocate a small percentage of funds to road maintenance.
For a full highway overhaul, the Minister said the cost would run well past the billion mark:
